Biography

I was born in Germany and spent the greater portion of my life there, attending the International School of Hamburg until 1998. Following my father’s departure from his position as Managing Editor at Deutsche Grammophon, we moved to Minneapolis where I finished high school and subsequently began my studies at the University of Minnesota in 2001. Despite finishing my degree, I continue to spend my days on campus as an IT coordinator and photographer for the College of Education.

Photography always lingered under the surface throughout my youth. Despite no formal training, I was able to quickly decipher what variables to manipulate in order to create the images I desired. I have also been fortunate to have a few key opportunities to attain regularly recurring photo work, some of which produced a wealth of information that has helped me to develop into the photographer that I have become today.

Although I have shot a wide range of subject matter – including sports, nature, weddings and events – I continue to find myself drawn more towards travel/adventure and lifestyle photography. Capturing life as it occurs has never proven itself easy, but the reward is definitely worth the effort.

Available for travel on a limited basis, but very open to any inquiries throughout the US and the world.
